FRAUD ALERT: Residents have been reporting that a person has been calling and requesting that they make a donation over the phone. Do not do this! We will never ask residents to make donations over the phone. Residents may donate anytime by check, online, or drop-off. The Company also does not sell t-shirts to the public. This scam is usually seen via text messages.
Costs associated with outfitting a single interior firefighter:
- Bunker coat - $1,930
- Bunker pants - $1,490
- Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) - $7,800
- SCBA face piece - $500
- Nomex hood - $65
- Gloves - $80
- Fire boots - $450
- Helmet - $500
- Flashlight - $100
- Portable Radios - $2100
- Pagers - $350
Additional expenses include life and accident insurance, building and ground maintenance, commercial and auto insurance, and annual equipment testing (includes SCBA, hose, ladder and rescue tools).
Your support is appreciated and allows the Borough to avoid a fire tax for each household.
